«All that is solid melts into air», the expression famously featured on the Communist manifesto, suggesting a desire for transformation in a society retained stagnant and reluctant to change – hence the will to uproot all that is immovable, permanent, solid – has a key to interpretation that strengthens the social character of our idea of change. The theories by Z. Bauman on a liquid society also constitute a key passage of some social transformations evident today that highlight the resurfacing of an almost totally changed attitude by individuals in their very individuality, as it were, as well as in their social, political and economic behavior.
